Dana LaLonde has lived in the Upper Peninsula for over 35 years, former Mayor of Negaunee, and current Marquette County Commissioner. With deep roots in our communities and a proven track record of leadership. Dana has dedicated her life to public service, labor advocacy, and protecting the unique way of life that makes the U.P. special.

Rooted in the Upper Peninsula

Dana has worked hard her whole life and understands the real challenges U.P. families face. From her leadership roles in UAW Local 2178 and UAW Local 1950 to her years of community service and local government experience, Dana has always stood up for working people and for the U.P.

As State Representative for Michigan's 109th District, Dana will fight to:

  • Expand access to in-person and virtual healthcare while protecting local hospitals from harmful cuts.
  • Support prevailing wages, apprenticeships, union labor, and sustainable industries that create good jobs and keep our young people here.
  • Preserve U.P. culture, traditions, and natural beauty, while encouraging responsible growth that strengthens our communities.

Dana is committed to making sure Lansing never forgets about the U.P. - because this place is home, and she'll always put the people of the U.P. above politics.
